Join East Anglia ACPIN for an informative evening session exploring the fundamentals of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), with a strong focus on clinical application.

This session will cover: ·
  • The principles and basic science of FES
  • Practical use for:

           - Wrist and finger extensors
           - Management of shoulder subluxation
           - Gait and foot drop

  • Overview of the NHS referral pathway to Odstock Medical within Norfolk
  • Review of commonly used stimulators in clinical practice
Learning Outcomes:
  • Understand the basic principles of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES).
  • Identify when and how FES can be used for the wrist extensors, shoulder subluxation, and gait.
  • Gain practical tips for using FES safely in clinical practice.
  • Be aware of the NHS referral pathway to Odstock Medical in Norfolk.
  • Recognise commonly used stimulators
