North Trent ACPIN are a friendly group of passionate and enthusiastic therapists with a diverse background of knowledge and experience working in the NHS and private sector. We also have members with close links to the local universities in South Yorkshire.
We meet on a six weekly basis and rotate this around the north and south of Sheffield and also north Derbyshire.
We are always looking for more members who would like to influence our direction and future events within our region.

An Insight in to Advanced Orthotic Devices to Influence Lower Extremity Biomechanics
Lecturer: Elaine Nelson, Principle Orthotist, Blatchford
After qualifying in 2003 in orthotics and prosthetics, Elaine practised in the USA and UK. Elaine was employed by Truelife, leading orthic provision for NHS contracts for UCLH and NHNN for ten years before joining the Blatchford Clinic in 2017. Elaine’s clinical experience specialises in lower limb orthotic rehabilitation with a keen interest in neurology. Elaine has published several articles and presented on orthotics internationally.
