Mission Statement

Manchester ACPIN aims to support neuro-rehabilitation in the region through CPD and educational events. We aim to provide networking opportunities and promote evidence based practice in the specialist area of neurophysiotherapy. We also aim to network with service users, other professionals, charities and students. We will continue to work collaboratively with our colleagues in higher education to support both under and post graduate education. We will continue to maintain links with colleagues working in the field of research and enable a platform for sharing the evidence found in research to enable best practice for service users.

Previous Events/Course
  • Optimising Upper Limb Rehabilitation by Dr Ulrike Hammerbeck – Evening Lecture
  • Exercise After Stroke – Later Life Training – Study Day
  • Gait Application to Practice – Joint Collaboration with MMU, Glynis Donaldson – Study Day
  • Delivering Intensive Rehabilitation: Factors Affecting Implementation – Seminar

Unfortunately the Neurological Shoulder course by Jo Gibson has had to be postponed indefinitely but we do hope to be able to re-schedule it at some point in the future.
