East Anglia

Mission Statement

ACPIN East Anglia is committed to connecting knowledge and practice and promoting neuro-physiotherapy specialism. We aim to achieve this noble objective by organising a range of CPDs and educational events for members, students and non-members across the region.

ACPIN East Anglia values networking amongst its members, hence, we support events that bridge the gap between research and clinical practice and give members the opportunities to promote their expertise. We also collaborate with other specialist interest groups, CSP, neurological charities, local universities and rehabilitation providers. We strive to keep educational events subsidised for members whilst also promoting ACPIN’s work to students and non-members.

Regional Information

We had a lot of long-standing committee members depart in 2018 including Rep Tabitha Mathers, Chair Charlie Dorer, Lucy Baines, Louise Dunthorne, Kate Goddard and Anna Colbear. We are very grateful for the help and influence they have left behind and as a committee encompassing lots of new members we are dedicated to carrying on their new work. We are now going into a period of maternity leaves so the committee will aim to support each other while no-one is directly in the Rep or Chair role.

From comments gained at recent events, other topics being considered for upcoming study days include Spinal Injury Management, Respiratory management in Neuro conditions, Neuropathic pain management and Movement Disorders as well as a practical course led by a Bobath Tutor.

We have most areas of the region represented but we are always very happy to have new members join the committee so please get in touch if you are keen.
