THE ACPIN MEMBERSHIP DATABASE FOR RESEARCH

TThe membership database can be purchased by those wishing to contact ACPIN members for research purposes. Only members who have agreed to take part in research will have their names released in this manner. Members can be contacted by email or by post according to their preference. During the year, numbers fluctuate but the entire database usually contains over a thousand names. It is unlikely that this number will be required for most research purposes so it can be split into:

• ACPIN region (18 in total)

• Speciality (MS, Acute rehab, Stroke etc)

• Full or student members

• Email or postal contact

Please contact the Honorary Research Officer in the first instance for advice regarding cost. The database cannot be released until receipt of payment for the full amount (cheques payable to ACPIN). The charges are listed below. A copy of the database application form must also be sent with the cheque. Please fill this is as comprehensively as possible.

Charges

• For full ACPIN members 10p per name

• For associate members 15p per name

• For physiotherapy students: £5 for 50 names

• For commercial use: fee subject to Executive Committee decision

The database can also be purchased to advertise a course at the charges above or for commercial purposes. The charges for commercial users will be decided by the executive committee.

Recipients of the research database will be invited to produce a report of their project for inclusion in Synapse.
