Tess Ellis qualified from UEL in 1995. Her NHS work was mostly in community and hospital settings providing physio for older people, people with long term conditions and people with learning disabilities.
Since 2012, she has worked privately with children and adults and delivered accredited training around the UK, presented at PMG and ESS, contributed to Reasonable Adjustments in Postural Care and written a postural care learning byte for undergraduate Nurses, NHS Scotland.
We are fortunate that she has kindly agreed to present to us a 45 minute lecture on:
Why therapeutic positioning is so important for people with movement difficulties.
How body shape is affected by prolonged and unsupported supine, side lying and prone position.
How we can use equipment and approaches to protect body shape in those positions.
The challenges and barriers we face in real life with postural management.
This event will be online and held on MS Teams. The link will be sent nearer the event.
