Course Description

An interactive masterclass to gain an in-depth knowledge of vestibular/ balance system functioning, deficit and intervention strategies.  The course is aimed at Physiotherapists who deal with or are interested in balance, dizziness , falls or a combination of all. Previous knowledge in this field will be beneficial, however, the course is designed and delivered in such a way that it is understandable by all.

Please note places are limited to 20 participants – book early to avoid disappointment!

9.00    Lecture – Sensory Integration of the balance system – includes physiology and anatomy of balance system.  Common vestibular /balance disorders
10: 30 Coffee / tea break
10: 45 History and Examination:
• Standardized Assessment tools

• Conscious and subconscious proprioception
