Anatomy of the Basal Ganglia and related subcortical structures

ACPIN Wales are pleased to offer a three-part online anatomy teaching event.

These will be an interactive session brought to you by Professor Oliver Turnbull. Professor Turnbull is a neuropsychologist, who teaches in the North Wales Medical School at Bangor University (where he is also Deputy Vice Chancellor). He has an interest in emotion and its many consequences for mental life. He is also a clinician, whose work is with patients with neurological lesions, especially those who have suffered cerebro-vascular accident or traumatic brain injury.

Professor Turnbull has many research publications, and is the author of the recent book Mistakes in Clinical Neuropsychology. He is also the founder of the Visceral Mind neuroanatomy summer school.

The sessions will be as follows:

Session 1: 9th September Anatomy of the lateral and mid-sagittal surfaces.

Session 2: 7th October  Anatomy of the ventricular, vascular and limbic systems

Session 3: 4th November Anatomy of the Basal Ganglia and related subcortical structures

We advise you book all three sessions, but they can be completed as standalone sessions if this is not possible.  Click on each session for the link to book for each session.

Please have a pen and (several pieces of) paper available for the evening session.

This is the THIRD session booking.

This will be held on Microsoft Teams and the link to join will be sent in due course.

Please note booking will close on 3 November at 11.59 pm
